Suvenir is a distinctive, medium-early table grape variety, known for its elongated dark blue berries and pleasantly spicy, sweet flavour. Its large, attractive clusters, crisp flesh and good resistance make it an increasingly popular choice for both home gardens and commercial cultivation.

Ripening time: Medium-early, generally ready for harvest in early September.
Cluster: Large, conical or shouldered and moderately compact, typically weighing 300–500 g.
Berry: Large and distinctively elongated, cylindrical or slightly teardrop-shaped, weighing approximately 6–8 g.
Colour: Dark blue, with a pronounced waxy bloom.
Flavour: Harmoniously sweet, with crisp flesh and a pleasantly spicy, slightly Muscat-like aroma.

Growing Characteristics

Suvenir is a moderately vigorous, consistently productive and high-yielding variety. It performs best in a warm, sunny location, where the berries develop an intense dark blue colour and high sugar content. Thanks to the relatively open structure of its clusters, they benefit from good air circulation and are less susceptible to rot. The fruit is particularly well suited for fresh consumption. Suvenir also produces reliably with spur pruning.

Resistance and Hardiness

Suvenir has good frost tolerance and moderate to good disease resistance. It is relatively resistant to rot, and its shoots mature well each year, making it a reliable choice for home gardens. With standard plant protection measures, it can be grown successfully and is suitable for both beginner and experienced growers.
