Product Description

Othello is a traditional American hybrid grape variety, developed from Clinton and Black Hamburg. It is known for its dark blue-black berries, distinctive fruity aroma, vigorous growth and good cold tolerance. Its characteristic flavour makes it particularly interesting for fresh consumption and homemade grape products.

Main Characteristics

Ripening time: Late, generally ripening from late September to early October.
Berry: Medium-sized, slightly elongated, dark blue to almost black, with a heavy natural bloom.
Cluster: Small to medium-sized, cylindrical to pyramidal and moderately compact.
Flavour: Juicy and distinctive, with a characteristic intense fruity, labrusca-type aroma.
Seeds: Seeded.
Use: Suitable for fresh consumption, grape juice, jams and preserves.
