Growing Characteristics
Cegléd Szépe is a low to medium-vigour variety that performs best in a sunny, warm location. Long pruning is recommended to maintain good productivity. Although its yield is generally only low to moderate, the variety compensates with attractive fruit and good keeping quality.
Its good frost tolerance and relatively low susceptibility to bunch rot make it a useful traditional variety for home gardens, while the unusual pale pink berries give the clusters a particularly attractive appearance.
