Product Description
Conegiláno (Conegliano) is an early-ripening blue table grape variety of Italian origin, valued for its excellent productivity, attractive appearance and pleasantly harmonious flavour. It is a vigorous and consistently high-yielding variety, making it an excellent choice for both home gardens and commercial cultivation. Thanks to its early ripening, its juicy, crisp berries can be enjoyed as early as the beginning of August.
Main Characteristics
Ripening time: Early, generally ready for harvest in the first half of August.
Cluster: Medium to large, cylindrical and shouldered, moderately compact, typically weighing 300–600 g.
Berry: Medium to large, round or slightly oval, weighing approximately 5–7 g.
Colour: Dark blue, with a pronounced waxy bloom.
Flavour: Harmoniously sweet and juicy, with crisp flesh and a subtle Muscat aroma.
Seeds: Contains 2–3 seeds.
Growing Characteristics
Conegiláno is a vigorous, reliable and consistently productive variety. It performs best in a warm, sunny location, where the berries develop an intense colour and high sugar content. The clusters tolerate transportation well and can remain on the vine for a short period without significant loss of quality, allowing for some flexibility in harvest timing.
Resistance and Hardiness
Conegiláno has good frost tolerance and moderate to good disease resistance. With appropriate plant protection, it can be grown successfully and provides consistently high yields. Thanks to its early ripening, it is less exposed to the adverse effects of rainy weather later in the summer, making it an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced growers.
