Italia is one of the world’s best-known and most highly regarded table grape varieties. Bred in Italy in the early 20th century, it has since become a benchmark among premium table grapes. Its enormous clusters, large golden-yellow berries and intense Muscat aroma have made it a favourite among growers and consumers worldwide.

Hlavní charakteristiky

Doba zrání: Středně pozdní, ke sklizeni obvykle připravené od early to mid-September.
Kulturní centrum Large, conical and moderately compact, typically weighing 600–1200 g, a za příznivých podmínek může dosáhnout up to 1.5 kg.
Bobule: Very large, oval or ovoid, weighing approximately 8–12 g.
Barva Yellowish-green, becoming golden-yellow when fully ripe, with a slight amber hue on the sun-exposed side.
Příchuť Intensely Muscat-flavoured, pleasantly sweet, juicy and crisp.
Semena Obsahuje 2–4 semena.

Růstové vlastnosti

Italia is a vigorous variety with excellent productivity. It produces its finest fruit in a teplé, slunné místo, where the berries develop their full golden colour and rich Muscat aroma. The clusters tolerate transportation well and retain their freshness for an extended period under suitable storage conditions.

Odolnost a houževnatost

Italia has moderate disease resistance, so regular plant protection is recommended. Its winter frost tolerance is also moderate, therefore in colder regions it is advisable to plant it in a warm, sheltered location or provide winter protection for young vines.
