Téli muskotály is a traditional Hungarian table grape variety valued for its distinctive Muscat flavour, crisp berries and late ripening season. It was developed in Hungary from a cross between Schiradzouli and Rezső and has been officially recognised since 1973. Its attractive yellow to amber-yellow berries have firm, crisp flesh and a pleasantly sweet, aromatic Muscat flavour.

As one of the later-ripening table grapes, Téli muskotály is particularly interesting for growers who want to extend the fresh grape harvest into early autumn.

Téli muskotály performs best in a warm, sunny and sheltered location, which is particularly important because of its relatively late ripening season. The vine has vigorous growth and can produce reliable crops under suitable conditions. It also shows good drought tolerance.

Disease resistance is moderat, and the variety is particularly susceptible to powdery mildew, so appropriate preventative plant protection is recommended. The specialist variety description also characterises it as frost-sensitive, making a sheltered planting position preferable, especially in colder areas.
